Tofu Jerky

Ingredients

Firm or extra-firm Tofu

1/2 cup of your favorite Marinade (we used teriyaki)

Directions

1Drain the water from your tofu and pat dry.

2Place tofu between paper towels on a plate. Set another plate on top, and place a few canned goods or water bottles on top of the plate as a weight.

3Allow the tofu to sit for about 25 minutes to press the excess water from the tofu.

4Remove tofu from the towels/plates and slice the tofu into 1/4 inch thick slices.

5Add your marinade to a small bowl.

6Dip each tofu slice into the marinade and then place it in an airtight container. Pour the remaining marinade into the container.

7Allow tofu to marinate for 4 hours in the refrigerator.

8Remove the marinated tofu slices from the container and place them on ParaFlexx lined Excalibur Dehydrator trays.

9Dry at 150° F for approximately 6 hours or until dry.
